Calling all teen readers! YA’ll Read This? is not your average book club. Dive into stories that speak to you—told through the voices of young protagonists navigating love, loss, identity, rebellion, and everything in between. We’ll explore a new title from across the young adult spectrum, including novels, graphic novels, and manga.
Together, we’ll dig deep into the big questions behind the stories like what it means to belong, how we define ourselves, and how we make choices in a complicated world. Through fun, thoughtful discussions, you’ll connect with other teens and gain fresh perspectives on universal themes—all through the powerful lens of YA storytelling.
The Library will have a limited number of copies available for the book club to check out. The books are on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information, talk to a staff member.
If there are no copies left and you would like to put this item on hold with the library, check our catalog here:
Physical book: Scythe
Our February pick is: Scythe by Neal Shusterman
A world with no hunger, no disease, no war, no misery. Humanity has conquered all those things, and has even conquered death. Now scythes are the only ones who can end life—and they are commanded to do so, in order to keep the size of the population under control.
Citra and Rowan are chosen to apprentice to a scythe—a role that neither wants. These teens must master the “art” of taking life, knowing that the consequence of failure could mean losing their own.
