Music, Nosie, or a Little of Both: Music Appreciation

Program Description:
This music appreciation class welcomes music enthusiasts to the art of listening to great orchestral music. The focus will be on learning the different sections of instruments found in the orchestra. You'll learn the difference between the family of instruments and the variations contained in each. After we learn about the instruments, we'll focus on the silent musician at the front of the orchestra, the conductor. You'll get a brief history of the conductor and learn what it is that makes the conductor the highest-paid musician who doesn't make a sound.
