Historical Society of Palm Desert presents Maureen Boren, Life in the Desert Through Art

The Historical Society of Palm Desert proudly presents the Friday Night Lecture series on the third Friday of the month from October through May.  Doors open at 5 p.m.

February speaker: Maureen Boren
Maureen holds a B.A. from the University of California, Riverside, and an M.A. from National University. She has been a resident of Palm Desert since 1970, where she lives with her husband, Doug. An educator for thirty-five years, she specialized in Special Education.

Maureen is a Trustee of the Coachella Valley History Museum and serves as Director of Museum Volunteers and Docents. She is an active member of the Coachella Valley Preservation Society and was a docent at the Palm Springs Art Museum for twenty years, including serving as Chairman of the Docent Council. She also chairs the Cultural Arts Committee for the City of Palm Desert.
