Program Description

Event Details

Join us for an engaging talk with CactusToCloud's Colin Barrows, who will be sharing their work on desert conservation.

The Palm CactusToCloud Institute exists to build a resilient and inclusive community for people, plants, and animals to thrive in the Coachella Valley. Our mission is to build a resilient community in the Coachella Valley by celebrating the unique plants and animals, trails, and people that live here, and by fostering collaboration between professional researchers and community scientists to implement science-based methods to better understand and protect the desert. We are dedicated to conserving public lands, particularly in California's desert region, and committed to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Therefore, our work is a two-prong approach focusing on advocacy and helping nature be more accessible to all via educational and recreational opportunities.
