Beneath the Robes: Current Developments at the Supreme Court
Program Description:
Starting with the recent case that established broad immunity for Presidential actions with only limited qualifications, the lecture will consider a sampling of current rulings and pending cases involving the Executive Branch. The cases to be examined arguably challenge previous Constitutional case precedents or commonly held interpretations as well as concepts of separation of powers among the three federal branches. As time permits, we will also try to predict the votes of each member of SCOTUS for key pending cases. Questions and comments will be encouraged.
