Join veteran comedian, television writer, playwright, and author Steve Bluestein for a behind-the-scenes look at the rise of stand-up comedy in the 1970s. With over 35 years in the industry, Bluestein was there at the beginning of the comedy boom. In this entertaining and insightful talk, he’ll share how it all started—and how this golden era transformed the world of entertainment.

Presenter bio:
Doing stand-up comedy for years, Steve Bluestein has finally come into his own as a playwright and author. The founding member of the Groundlings Theater has had a varied and broad career as a TV writer, a stand-up comedian, playwright.  Steve is the author of "Memoir of a Nobody."  The book is a collection of short stories and essays about life, love, comedy, show business, and overcoming a difficult childhood.  Presently, Steve lives in Rancho Mirage, CA, where he keeps busy on social media and can be contacted via Facebook, where he has over 10,000 followers.
